1.      Give your comment about Magnum Commercial Break,,why they have premium segmentation,and choose emotional side of the consumer to buy their products
About their newest commercial break,I think the purpose is to make stronger their brand image as premium products. from the advertising we can see that the woman is very desperate to get Magnum,this can be have meaning that eventough Magnum’s price is expensive,the customer still want to buy it,because of their premium brand image.
Magnum have premium segmentation because their product basically use premium ingredients,like Belgium chocolate,and they also use exclusive package (there’s gold foil inside the package). So I think it’s suitable if they look to premium segmentation.
The reason why Magnum choose emotional side of customers I think is to influence them to buy the products. Magnum try to influence customers with their brand image as premium products. They make stronger their brand image with their advertising that focus in exclusive and premium image,so the image of premium products will always on the customer’s mind

2.      Is billboard still effective as promotional media right now?
I think the effectiveness of billboard is depend on the local condition & situation where the billboard is placed. For example,billboard is still effective as promotional media in the place where the technology is still haven’t reach that place. We can see the the condition in Africa ad Europe. In Africa,there still many places that haven’t touch by technology. In this kind of condition,billboard still effective as promotional media,because there are no other media for this kind of condition. But if we see in Europe,the technology development is very fast. Technology have been reach in every place. This condition can be use by marketer to use technology as promotional media,like Television,Internet,etc. In this kind of condition,billboard won’t be effective if we compare with the advertising via advanced technology.

1. Why is supply chain strategy so important?
Supply chain is very important because of flow of goods from one destination to other destination with cost effective and on timely delivery of goods to the business needs and gives the profit to the organisation. Supply Chain Management & Strategy is important because of relationship between each party. If every party join hand and work together, it will create cost savings and time to market reduction and everyone will enjoy the benefit. Supply Chain consists of many trading partners, from raw materials to finished products. 

2.    How to develop a supply chain strategy?
To Develop a supply chain strategy,the first step is for supply chain executives to clearly understand how the enterprise chooses to compete. The next step is to conduct a detailed, realistic assessment of the capabilities that exist within the organization and even the extended supply chain. Begin by closely scrutinizing your organization’s assets and evaluate how well they support the strategy. Next step is the development of an implementation plan which is should include activities and tasks, roles, responsibilities, a corresponding timeline, and performance metrics. Establish a sub-team to shepherd the execution and provide project management responsibility to resolve issues and track status. The last part of developing a supply chain strategy includes evaluating opportunities to outsource areas that are not your core competency. If someone else can do it cheaper , it may be worth outsourcing not only to drive down costs, but also to focus more resources on the core competencies your organization does well.

3.    What are the differences that you have experienced in buying product through a physical retail store and an online store? What are differences in their supply chain strategy?
Based on my experienced when bought from online store and physical retail store is totally different each other. When buying in online store,we can get everything that we want,eventough it's not available in our hometown store/shop. But in online store,we can't see the real condition of the products that we want to buy. Sometimes this can make us disappointed,because when we receive the products it can be out of our expectations. But not all the online store like that,i think it's just a few online store that can't show the real quality of the product that they sold. When buying in physical retail store we can see the real condition of the products,so we can purchase the product that suit with our expectations. But in retail store,sometimes we can't get product that we want,maybe product that we want is not available in our city,but only available in specific city. 

For the supply chain strategy,the online store can't deliver their product to their customers quickly. Customers must wait at least 1 day to get the product that they buy,it can be several days depend on the expedition that the store use. But to cover this disadvantages,online store usually provide cheaper prize than physical retail store. Different with physical retail store,customers can get the product that they buy directly,they don't have to wait several days. But sometimes retail store have more expensive prize than the online store. Usually this condition doesn't make customers change their decision to purchase that products,because they can get the products directly and can see the real condition of the products eventough they must pay more expensive price.
